Better product data, global purchasing and the further development of Calex Marine. There’s plenty on Glenn van Driel’s desk at the moment.
As Head of Purchase, Glenn is working closely with our compliance team on a new Product Information Management (PIM) system. The aim is to take our product data to the next level and stay ahead of new regulations.
That’s an important topic at Electro Cirkel. If we supply a product, our customers should be able to trust that the specifications are correct, the documentation is available and the product is suitable for the job. Especially when it comes to our own Calex Marine range.
We can put the Calex Marine name on any product. But that’s not how we work. We want to know that a product works for our market, is easy to install and comes with the right product information. Sometimes that means modifying products specifically for maritime use, for example to offer a broader voltage or temperature range.
Glenn is also working on our international purchasing. With Singapore up and running and new locations to follow, we want to make sure we can offer the same type of products and quality wherever we operate.
It all comes back to something quite simple. If Electro Cirkel supplies it, it needs to be right.
